Buying a new lacrosse head

I’ve decided I needed a new lacrosse head. I'm normally good on the ground balls, but for the life of me I couldn’t pick one up. What's going on? One look at my lacrosse head and it told the whole story. It had a mean warp. No idea where that came from. Probably from having to take a couple of face offs last week.

Who knows where to find new gear? Other than using Google, I haven’t got a clue. Maybe Bing, but chrome searches Google automatically. So Google it is!

Looking for new gear can be either a time consuming & laborious task, or an easy task. I unfortunately found the time consuming way first, then the easy way. But let me share with you my experience.

Searching for lacrosse heads, Google sent back a whole bunch of websites. Half the results were shops and half other websites. I quickly learnt to not abbreviate lacrosse to lax because all I got were links to LA airport! Eventually I found all the legitimate online stores and there are a lot of them. Good for me, I thought.

One thing I found was that the Google search didn't do too well in linking directly to the product page of the online store. I found the product name in lists (which I had to then click through to), or old content, or find the wrong product altogether.

This forced me to go to each website and start compiling a list of heads that would be suitable. Do you know the difference between an attack and a defence head? Neither do I. Now I'm onto the forums and other blogs to find out what's what.

Eventually I found the lacrosse head I was looking for and could now return to the stores to check on prices. This proved to be a nightmare and a half. Some stores didn't have the lacrosse head. Some stores did have it, but the picture looked different. Some stores had it but were out of stock, and the stores that had the lacrosse head and had it in stock were 40% more expensive! After 2 days of searching, I've still not ordered my new lacrosse head!

I bookmarked the sites and decided to return in a few days and check again. Upon my return the situation had not changed, so I decided to suck it up and buy it from one of the more expensive sites that had my head in stock. Buy now clicked, card charged and a week later my new head arrived!

Happy was I. The relief of finally having my new head gav me such a high that that I decided to tell everyone. I told all my team mates, and they were happy for me but couldn’t understand why I was so happy. I then proceeded to tell them about how long the whole process took and how I felt a bit ripped off. One of my team mates chimed in and said “if you're looking for a new lacrosse head, you should go to www.lacrossegearreview.com.”

Lacrossegearreview.com contains all the information I want about lacrosse heads. I could search by price, field position, brand, you name it! I'm really happy for finding the site and I only wish I'd found it earlier.
