Buying new lacrosse rib pads

Have you ever tried to purchase a set of rib pads? What aspects of a good set of rib pads do you look for? I decided to purchase a set of rib pads, and I had no idea what I was doing.

I went to a couple of stores and to be honest, all I got from the staff was a regurgitation of text from the brands brochure and other random catch phrases. What really confused me was that the rib pads all seemed to be the same, but the prices varied greatly. In my experience, price isn’t always a good indicator of quality.
